Two grandmothers have started a fight over which one should see a newborn baby first - and now it's threatening to tear their family apart.
One of the warring grannies took to internet forum Mumsnet to ask who was wrong and who was right and if she was expecting sympathy, she went to the wrong place!
The problem started when the daughter of one of the grandmother's, gave birth via emergency C-section after a traumatic labour. The new mum wanted her own mum with her at the hospital but requested that her mother-in-law stay away until the baby was at home and settled.
The mother-in-law refused and showed up at their house as soon as they arrived back from hospital, and an argument started. Now the mother-in-law is hassling the other grandma with endless texts and calls and one is threatning to block the other from her phone!
But other Mumsnet users were quick to point out that maybe the daughter and son-in-law should be dealing with the irate mother-in-law and it isn't a battle the grandmothers should be having at all!
In fact, many users agreed that the daughter should probably have let her mother-in-lae have a quick cup of tea and meet the baby to avoid this war zone.
And another added...
What do you think? Does the mother-in-law have the right to demand to see her grandchild?
