A clever Queensland mum bought a cheap Kmart pet product to help her baby beat the heat and sleep - and we couldn't love it more!
Uploading a photo of her child to Facebook group, Kmart Mums Australia, Kacey-Leigh Macdonald revealed this special 'cooling mat' was the answer to her problems. A small mat costs $12 while a large is $20!
'Comes in handy for a cranky bub on hot days,' she said.
The water-patterned mat is actually meant to cool down household pets in the heat of summer, but in this case it can be used on children. You don't freeze the mat, or use any electricity to power it - it simply contains cooling gel.
It works by absorbing body heat and dissipating it around the mat, and it can be bought on-line.
Mums on the site also recognised that the mat could be used to help a pregnant mum with swollen ankles too. Genius!
