School teachers’ messages go viral
The writing’s on the wall!
Teachers at Warren Middle School in the US have spent their summer painting positive messages on the toilet doors at the school.
The “bathroom inspiration project” went viral on social media after the school posted photographs of the teachers hard at work sketching designs then painting them on the doors.
The messages include ‘Bloom where you’re planted’, ‘Your mistakes don’t define you’, ‘Work Hard Dream Big’ and ‘No-one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.’
There were also messages aimed at empowering young girls, such as ‘Real girls aren’t perfect – perfect girls aren’t real’ and ‘You are amazing, you are brave, you are strong.’
“We’ve been blown away by all of the support and kindness the community has shown! Thank you for your sweet words and encouragement,” the school posted on Facebook.
“We’re excited to learn many other schools are hoping to bring this positivity to their campus!”
The teachers also posted supportive messages above the bathroom mirrors to remind their young students that image isn’t everything, such as ‘mirror mirror on the way, there’s a leader in us all.’
Another message said ‘You may not have wonder woman’s super powers, but you can have a super-powered impact on the world.’
“We can’t wait for our Warriors to see it in August!” the teachers said.
