Consumers are urged to check their pantries after a nationwide product recall was issued on two popular sauces sold at Coles and Woolworths supermarkets.
All states are affected across the nation.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) today issued two urgent food recalls.
The first recall is for Coles own brand pesto - Coles Italia Pesto Al Basilico Basil Pesto
The recall has been issued for undeclared allergen (peanut).
Consumers with peanut allergies or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.
Affected products have a best before date of 28/08/2021.
“Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.”
“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”

The second food recall has been issued for Providore Italian Tomatoes and Grana Padano Cheese Pesto, sold nationally at Woolworths.
All states are affected.
The recall has been issued for undeclared allergen (peanut).

Affected products have a best before date of 30.09.2022.
Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
