Meghan Markle has revealed the quick and easy recipe she whips up for new husband Prince Harry during cosy nights at home.
The couple, who famously got engaged after a meal of roast chicken, love cooking together and yesterday Meghan revealed what she makes for Harry in less than two minutes.
The Duchess was at the launch of a new cookery book which has been compiled by survivors of the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London. The tower caught fire in June 2017 and the disaster killed 72 people.
Afterwards a group of local women gathered together at the Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre to cook for their families and neighbours. The community became known as the Hubb Community Kitchen as Hubb translates as love in Arabic.
The Duchess is supporting the launch of their first cook book, Together: Our Community Cookbook and has revealed that one recipe is “my very favourite avocado dip that I now make at home.” It was created by fire survivor Munira Mahmud and here's the recipe.
Green chilli and avocado dip, by Munira Mahmud
Serves 4
2 green chillies, halved and de-seeded
25g fresh coriander
3 tbsp natural yoghurt
Grated zest and juice of 2 lemons
4 garlic cloves, peeled flesh of 1 ripe avocado
4 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
Salt and pepper
Put all the ingredients except the mayonnaise into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add mayonnaise (if you wish) and stir to combine then transfer to a serving bowl.
'I immediately felt connected to this kitchen,' wrote Meghan of the Hubb, which includes a variety of dishes from Europe, the Middle East, north Africa and the eastern Mediterranean.
'It is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together.'
The book is being officially launched by Penguin on September 20.
