A little girl was spotted on a ‘nanny cam’ tucking in the pitbull 'bodyguard' she can't sleep without in her tiny toddler bed.
Since baby Adalynn Leary was born, the family dog, Fury, has been her constant bodyguard and companion.
While Fury usually sleeps on the floor, Ady decided one night that she needed him to be closer, so called him to get into her crib.
The little girl is then seen tucking her dog in sweetly before snuggling up next to him.
Ady and her family live in Palmer, Alaska, an area which has been hit with some serious earthquakes in recent months.
The little girl has been experiencing severe anxiety attacks due to the earthquakes and resulting aftershocks, and the only way she can sleep is if Fury is close by.
Adalynn’s Dad Kyle has said: “The only way she’ll sleep is if Fury is in there with her to protect and ease her anxiety. Normally he sleeps on the floor next to her bed but that night she called him up to cuddle him.”
Mr Leary has come under fire from critics who think it’s dangerous for the dog to be left alone with the little girl, camera or not, but he is standing firm on his decision.
“I agree to never keep a child and animal unsupervised but I have done over 100+ hours of training with him and there’s one thing I know, Fury isn’t just any animal.
“He knows it’s his job to have Ady under his protection and be her service dog anyway she needs.”
