Mums are going crazy for THIS picture of Rachel McAdams using a breast pump

She’s America’s sweetheart but Rachel McAdams is also a woman to be reckoned with.

The 40-year-old gave birth to a baby boy earlier this year and has kept her young son under wraps, preferring to live a quiet, private life.

However, the Notebook actress pretty much broke the internet with this powerful photo for Girls. Girls. Girls. magazine where she is wearing Versace and diamonds… and a double breast pump.

“Obviously #rachelmcadams looks incredible and was quite literally the dream to work with, but also this shoot was about 6 months post her giving birth to her son, so between shots she was expressing/pumping as still breastfeeding,” explains the magazine’s editor, Claire Rothstein, wrote on Instagram.

“Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can't for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don't even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great.”

In an interview with The Sunday Times McAdams said that having her son was the best thing she had ever done.

“It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down,” McAdams said. “[People say] your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person.”

“I waited a long time [for motherhood],” she added.
