Riverdale and Beverly Hills 90210 star Luke Perry tragically dies

Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale star Luke Perry has died aged 52, less than a week after suffering a massive stroke.
The news of his stroke came just after it was announced there was to be a reboot of the how he shot to fame on Beverly Hills 90210 - although it wasn't clear if Luke would return to the show as the brooding Dylan McKay.
His publicist said Perry died surrounded by his family and friends.
“Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke,” the statement reads. “He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”
More recently Luke starred as Fred Andrews on the hit teen TV series Riverdale.
He had been hospitalized on Feb. 27 after paramedics were dispatched to his home according to TMZ.
The actor remained “under observation” for five days but died on Monday, March 4.
