Aussie mum has three babies all under one year old after falling pregnant with twins six weeks after giving birth to her baby girl.
27-year-old Eliza Curby, says the old wives’ tale that ‘you can’t get pregnant if you’re breastfeeding’ meant that she and her partner Ben, 38, didn’t even think about contraception.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Eliza says she blows that myth right out of the water.
‘Breast feeding doesn't do s***, this pregnancy happened, it is real,’ she says.
‘My doctor actually uses me as an example for couples when they say they don't have any contraception plans in place after the birth of their child.'
The young mum says she knew she was pregnant when she woke up with a splitting headache, though it wasn’t until they met with the doctor that it was confirmed to be twins.
'When we found out Ben's face just went white,' she said.
‘I have never been so nervous in my life.’
Her family couldn’t believe it either:
‘When we went to dad and told him we had exciting news he thought we were going to get married.
'Then when we said we were going for round two, with twins his face turned to horror.’
The babies were born in December, two boys, and now the couple have to cope with having three babies all under one year old.
Eliza says she would love to offer tips for other mums with young kids but she has only just managed to catch her breath.
'It is like I have had to start all over again. But now it is just everything in threes, three bibs, three baby seats - three everything.'
Eliza says that even though she and Ben have only been together for about two years, they make a ‘pretty good team’ and says their relationship has been ‘surprisingly fine.’
'He also loves being a dad.'
