The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly been given an unkind moniker by a senior member of the royal family.
According to a report from the Sunday Times, Meghan Markle has been nicknamed the “degree wife” because “she’ll only last three years.”
It’s not the first time she’s been given an unpleasant nickname, with previous reports that royal aides dubbed her “Me-gain”, “Duchess Difficult” and “Hurricane Meghan”.
Several palace aides have reportedly also quit after working with the Duchess for short periods of time.
However, the Duke and Duchess appear to be rock-solid and madly in love, welcoming a new baby boy, Archie Harrison, to the family in May.
An insider said: “Anybody who voiced any kind of reservation about Meghan has been sidelined.”
There have also been rumours of a rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meghan and Harry moved away from William and Kate to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor earlier this year.
They have also broken away from their joint Kensington Palace household, with their new office based at Buckingham Palace.
There are now new reports that the charity the four royals share will also split.
Harry and Meghan are apparently soon set to finish working with the Royal Foundation to focus on their own work.
