This baby made headlines in 1983 for his size – and just look at him now!
Wow
In 1983, a young New Jersey mum, Patricia Clarkson, gave birth to her second child, who weighed in at a whopping 16 pounds (7.25kg).
Kevin Robert Clark was not only the biggest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital but possibly the largest baby born in New Jersey at the time.
Baby Kevin was too big for his cot and baby clothes, but the tot went on to make headlines around the country, and even appeared on Good Morning America.
According to the New York Post, Kevin was five foot, seven inches by the age of 12, and by junior high he was six foot, five inches.
“There isn’t a day that goes by when someone doesn’t ask me how tall I am,” he told the New York Post.
“I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”
Today he stands at an impressive six foot nine inches, weighs 300 pounds and wears a size 17 shoe. But he has learned to accept his size.
He lives in North Carolina with his wife Jenna, who is pretty tall herself at six feet.
“You’re not going to get away from how big you are, it’s who you are … embrace it," he said.
