IKEA worldwide product recall, Troligtvis travel mugs
The recall is due to possible chemical contamination.
An urgent worldwide product recall has been issued for popular travel mug Troligtvis.
The Swedish homeware retail giant IKEA has urged consumers to stop using the travel mug immediately.

Tests have shown that dibutyl phthalate (DBP) may leach out of TROLIGTVIS Travel mugs at above prescribed limits.
DBP is a chemical used to make plastics soft and pliable.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued the recall today, February 2.
Surprisingly the recall has been in place in other nations from as early as January 15.

IKEA published their findings online on January 15, stating “IKEA received test reports showing that the travel mug may migrate levels of Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) exceeding the prescribed limits.”
Products affected are:
- 30412448 TROLIGTVIS travel mug 0.3 l beige
- 40429189 TROLIGTVIS travel mug 0.3 l blue
- 60429188 TROLIGTVIS travel mug 0.3 l green
- 80443329 TROLIGTVIS travel mug 0.3 l pink

IKEA urges all customers who have a TROLIGTVIS travel mug marked “Made in India” to stop using it and return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.
