Every mum's breastfeeding journey is different. Despite this, there are some things you can do to make your life a little easier.
Here are five breastfeeding hacks to try.
1 – Give yourself subtle reminders. Find a bracelet that is easy to slip from wrist to wrist as a reminder for which breast to feed your baby from next. Alternatively, these Mammary Minders are available on Etsy, which can be easily attached to your bra.
2 – Cookies. Boost your milk production with delicious lactation cookies. Try these yum no bake lactation bites from The Baker Mama.
3 – Make breast milk popsicles. Teething a painful part of growing up for your little bub. To help soothe sore gums, these breast milk icy poles are perfect. Otherwise, fill the lid of a dummy lid with breastmilk and freeze.
4 – The Double shirt method.
5 - Nursing necklaces for fidgety feeders.
As babies grow a little older and become more aware of their surroundings, which can be distracting to your bub. Giving them a necklace to play with is preferable to having your hair, ears and face pulled.
