Emma's touching birthday gift for Lachy is beautiful

Emma Wiggle has presented her ex-husband, Lachy Wiggle, with a beautiful and thoughtful gift for his birthday.

And now fans are hoping this is a sign the Wiggly couple will re-kindle their romance and their marriage can get back on track.

The couple are currently touring Canada with The Wiggles, and Lachy celebrated his 33rd birthday on October 23.

Taking to Instagram, Lachy showed fans the art work that Emma gave him as a gift on his birthday away from home.

It's not clear if Emma, the Yellow Wiggle, painted the picture herself but it shows a sky with purple clouds - clearly a nod to Lachy's role in The Wiggles as the Purple Wiggle.

Lachy was clearly touched by the painting as he put it on his Instagram stories on his birthday.

Earlier in the day, Emma Wiggle had paid tribute to her former-love by putting a special message on Instagram to him wish him Happy Birthday.

Emma and Lachy announced their split in August, shocking their fans. Secretly the couple had been living separate lives for the previous six months and had sold their Sydney apartment.

'I think we decided to part ways quite organically over the course of about eight months," Emma revealed in a TV interview. 'It was a mutual decision.'

Our incredible friendship has been strengthened throughout this time and what we have discovered is that, more than ever, first and foremost we love and adore performing as Emma and Lachy in The Wiggles and having the privilege of celebrating this happiness with extraordinary families around the world. We have chosen a different path to travel in our personal lives, but please know that we are stronger than ever and we can't wait to see you at a show soon.
