It’s a mums best-kept secret but now dry shampoo has become one of the beauty world’s best-selling products.
And one brand is so successful it sells 2.25 cans every second around the world. That’s a lot of hair. And a lot of shampoo!
Batiste Dry Shampoo released its sales figures for 2017 and the product – which counts Drew Barrymore as one of its biggest fans – has blitzed the competition.
In Australia, Batiste Dry Shampoo is sold in supermarkets and chemists and it costs around just $5 for 50ml and $10 for 200ml. You can use it instead of shampoo on days when washing your hair is an impossibility. By spraying it onto the roots, it hides greasy patches and gives your hair texture.
Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore loves the dry shampoo so much she took to Instagram to sing its praises!
Earlier this year she said, ‘I am crazy for this dry shampoo. I love it for texture, BUT this one actually works like a true do over for dirty hair. Especially on a blow out. It restores it to pretty and cleans it right up by removing the oil from my scalp and hair. It actually does what it promises to do. It’s better than any I have ever tried and I am a dry shampoo enthusiast.'
