With the temps rising and the need for clothes diminishing, make your next family holiday fun and stress-free at one of these waterparks across the country.
Discovery Parks – Barossa Valley
Discovery Parks has also recently opened Discovery Parks – Barossa Valley.
This one has five different ‘splash’ areas, two slides and hundreds of jets and sprays.
Accommodation is also very affordable and family-friendly with prices starting at $35 for four to six people.
The Barossa is the gateway to Australia’s best wine region too, so why not kill two birds with one stone?!

Wet’n’Wild, Sydney
The Sydney counterpart to the famous Queensland Park doesn’t disappoint.Wet’n’Wild is suitable for the whole family and home to Australia’s biggest wave pool (The Beach), 13 waterslides, a ‘Dinosaur Lagoon’, kid-friendly areas, The Surf Deck (for surfing), and the Sydney SkyCoaster (riders are strapped to a harness and are lifted 75 metres up.)

Adventure Park Geelong
Adventure Park Geelong is Victoria’s first and biggest water theme park, with over 20 rides and attractions including Gold Rush Rapids, Aqua Racer (an 80-metre long waterslide), Wild West Canyon (a two-seater raft ride down a dark tunnel slide) and the Tiny Tots Splash zone.
It also has some water-free rides like a Ferris wheel and a carousel for those who like to stay dry!

SPLASH Water Park - Cairns Coconut Holiday Resort
Located in Far North Queensland, the 28-acre Cairns Coconut Holiday Resort, has an onsite waterpark, set amongst tropical greenery.
The kids will be kept occupied for hours at the SPLASH Water Park, which has a huge tipping bucket on top of the water play area.
The tiny-tots can play in a kids wading pool. For the adults, there are also two spas.
There is also accommodation on-site including condos, villas, units, cabins, camping sites, and powered slab sites for camper homes.

Jamberoo Action Park
Located only an hour south of Sydney is Jamberoo Action Park.
For the little guys, there is Billabong Beach (full of heated shallow pools, mini water slides, dodging jets of water, pretend critters and more), Outback Bay – Kiddies Cove (with friendly statue marine animals) and the Mushroom Pool (a mini water slide and a giant mushroom waterfall.)
